Hi, I'm John
Bringing experience from aerospace to AI with toy design, edtech and robotics along the way, I have a diverse, technical and creative approach to product management. I practice human-centered design while using the latest AI prototyping tools to test and iterate quickly. My startup experiences have provided me with countless lessons learned and have shaped the product manager that I am today.

My Work
Here are some of the products I have been fortunate enought to work on
Carter - Robust.AI
Owned the product journey from the first working prototype to our production units. Made product decisions based on interviews, observations, customer data and real-world prototype testing.
Dash - Wonder Workshop
Led product and content teams to turn a consumer focused device into the leading ed-tech coding product used by over 40,000 schools in over 65 countries. Key insight was designing solutions for our users beyond just the students: the districts, principals, teachers and parents.
Dishcraft Robotics
From one dish scrubbing prototype to a fully operational service with an automated robotic washing hub, I focused a team of over 20 engineers on building products, tools and dashboards that solved customer needs and drove our business.
From My Github
Some of my personal experiments and projects working with various AI tools to create functional prototypes
Teacher Newsletter Agent
Created an agent using Cursor to generate a weekly newsletter for a classroom teacher based on a photo of the weekly lesson planner. The goal is to see how close to a teachers tone LLMs can get with minimum input. This could save valuable time on a task that most classroom teachers do every Friday or, even worse, on their weekends.
Math Arcade
A playful web app that turns math fact practice into fast games designed to address the boredom and disengagement many learners feel with traditional math games. I used Google Stich for various UI options and Claude and Cursor to turn the design into a playable web app.
Softball Strategy
A web app that helps youth softball players learn and practice where to throw the ball on defense so they can confidently call out the play during the pressure of a real game. I started with Google Stitch and cleaned up the UI in Adobe Illustrator. I then used Cursor to make it playable.
